Welcome to the official website of the
Scottish Professional Rugby Players Association (SPRA).

SPRA was founded in May 2005 by players around the country and received the support of 99% of the players.   SPRA is the official representative body for professional rugby players irrespective of nationality in Scotland.

Amidst a background of professional team uncertainty and dramatic changes within the governing body, the players felt in a very precarious position and in need of an independent body to protect their interests and act as a collective independent mouthpiece
